Let me be honest, if you are looking for a high dollar, glitzy, show-off site, this may not be for you. We are a small company and we cater to small companies and organizations. Our goal is to bring that 50's corner shop to web site and logo design. Why are web sites so expensive?!!?

That is a question I asked myself when I started my first company. I knew I needed to have a presence on the world wide web in order for my company to be more successful. but I could not afford the $500 to $3000 to design it, as well as $100 to $500 per month to maintain it. I was left wondering how the little guy could compete? Out of desperation I spent a year learning how websites work and how to build them. Today my first site is still up, running strong, and doing very well. the site features e-commerce and pdf forms, just like a $10,000 plus site.

 

Here are some things I learned

Web sites are a funny thing, everyone is looking to have a glitz flashy web site, but no one likes to go to them. Take a look at the sites you frequent, I will bet there is no flash, no glitz, just clean looking basic site. Why because that is what people want, it’s that simple. There is very little difference between a web site and the local shop down the street. You expect to see a clean professional looking shop with out a lot of flash and glitz. Because of this we recommend devoting more attention to your logo, it is usually the first thing the customer is going to see when they go to your site. Its your chance to make a first impression. Basically it comes down to this, you need to decide if you want your site to do well in a global and/or local market, or if you just want a fun site for your friends and family, that should decide if you should make it flashy or not.

Templates get a bad wrap, do you want an effective, clean, and professional site that will not cost an arm and a leg? Then you want to look at using a template, they are quick and can be easily modified to fit you needs.

Logos should be clean and basic, don’t make them overly complex with lots of colors. I made this mistake on my first logo, it looked cool, and I liked it, at the time anyway. I quickly changed it, I got it down to 3 colors and cleaned it up quite a bit. So a logo should have no more than 3 colors and keep it simple. Here you see some samples of simple custom logos.

What is SEO? It stands for search engine optimization, and it is all the rage today. If you have any desire for your web site to rank high with a search engine you will need to know about it. Today Google gets about 65% of all search engine traffic, so you must design a site that is Google friendly. However it must also work well with the other search engines. This is where search engine optimization comes in. With how search engines work today you must build (optimize) your site to work with the search engines, that is how you get high ranking and that leads to high traffic. Hosting is a scam, well it can be anyway. You can waist a lot of money each month on web site hosting. We find on average that we can save our customers between $120 and $500 per year. Our hosting package start at $9.95 per month.

So what about pricing? We are not going to make you dig through our site to try to find this info. We do everything at $35.00 per hour and we have hosting plans starting at $9.95 per month.
